Plastic injection molding is just one of the many services we offer here at Mnwell, and it's a great way to design a mold cleaner, build a prototype and start production in just a few months. It may seem simple, but injection molding was actually a very complex process, and we had to adapt it in order to make prototypes and small batches of plastic parts that comprise only 100 of thousands of parts. First, we injected the plastic part into an aluminum prototype mold, also known as rapid tooling. The molten plastic is then injected into the mold cavity through a nozzle and the molded part is then injected through the nozzle. 


The plastic flow is very slow, but the injection molding machine screws are still moving forward slightly. At this stage, the pressure in the mold cavity is high because it is almost full. During the packing phase (after closing the door) the plastic mold cools down and solidifies.
