Solutions to the matte surface and uneven color of TPR/TPE injection products

1. Injection products If the injection speed is too fast, the retention time of the material will cause the gloss of the product surface to decrease.
Solution to the problem: The injection speed should be reduced and the residence time should be reduced.

2. The material has poor thermal stability and thermal decomposition
Solution to the problem: Use a material with good thermal stability and gloss, or add a heat stabilizer to the material.

3. The barrel temperature is low, the nozzle temperature is too low, it will cause the surface gloss of the product to decrease.
Solution to the problem: The nozzle temperature should be increased to increase the melt temperature.

4. The mold temperature is too low and the cooling rate is too fast. When the melt is still filled, a hard shell is formed on the cavity wall, and the shell layer becomes white and turbid by various forces, thereby reducing the product. Surface gloss
Solution to the problem: increase the surface temperature of the mold, reduce the cooling rate, or use local heating at the gate of the mold.

5. Poor surface finish of the mold makes the product surface dull.
The solution to this problem should be carbon steel, carefully polishing the mold surface to improve the surface finish of the mold.

6. Excess release agent will also cause such defects on the product surface.
Solution to the problem: Try not to use or use a small amount of release agent, and apply evenly.

7. When the back pressure is too small during the plasticizing process, the material will be unevenly plasticized, and the mixing of the material and colorant will cause the uneven color of the product surface
Solution to the problem: The back pressure should be increased appropriately.

8. Impurities in the material instead of drying will also reduce the gloss of the product surface
Solution to the problem: Consideration should be given to removing impurities, completely drying the material, and adding a hopper dryer if necessary.

9. The size of the runner and gate are too small, and poor exhaust will also lead to poor surface gloss of the product. Solution to the problem: increase the size of the runner and gate, and increase the exhaust groove.
