Description
When the sheet metal processing material is bent, the outer layer of the fillet area is stretched and the inner layer is compressed. Therefore, under the same thickness, the smaller the radius of the bend, the more the material is stretched and compressed. When designing the structural parts of curved parts with cracks and broken sheet metal processing, bend corners that are too small should be avoided. The minimum bending radius is the height of the straight edge of the bending part, so the height of the straight edge of the bending part should not be too small. When a sheet metal flange has a beveled edge on the side, the minimum height of the side is the hole margin on the bend. In addition, the bending line should avoid the sudden change of size, the purpose is to prevent the stress concentration at sharp corners from bending. It is best to move the bending line a certain distance and to leave the sudden change in size as the basic principle to ensure the bending effect.
