Recommendations for the selection of materials for children's plastic toys：
1. ABS
ABS is the main material for inserting building blocks. The three letters stand for "acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene". The main reason why ABS is used for inserting building blocks is its good dimensional stability, and the basic particles made can maintain the same height. At the same time, ABS has high hardness and toughness, even at low temperatures, it will not become brittle (low temperature resistance-40 °). Then, it is resistant to fall and wear.
2. TPE
TPE is a thermoplastic soft rubber material, easy to process, can be directly injection molded by conventional injection molding machine, hardness can have good color matching performance, the material supports oil injection, silk screen and printing processing. It has four advantages: 1. Excellent color matching performance. Plastic toy products are mostly bright and diverse colors, and there are higher requirements for the color matching of TPE materials. 2. Good screen printing performance with oil spray and paint. Most toy products have requirements for spray painting and silk screen printing. 3. The crack resistance of soft toys. For some soft toys with very soft hardness, care should be taken to select suitable TPE materials to prevent cracking after the product is processed. In addition, through the optimization and improvement of the molding process, the cracking caused by stress shrinkage is reduced. 4. Environmental performance. Most TPE materials meet the environmental protection characteristics of ROHS and EN71-3 test standards, but different countries or regions have different test standards for toy products.
3.PP
In toys, PP materials are mainly used in small toys such as teethers and rattles. One can be imported, and the other can be sterilized by high-temperature water.
