PE is a thermoplastic resin made by polymerization of ethylene, which is soft, non-toxic, inexpensive, and easy to process. Polyethylene in the atmosphere, sunlight and the role of oxygen, aging, discoloration, chapped, brittle or powdered, losing its mechanical properties.
LDPE has the lightest density and is easy to ventilate and soak. It has good dielectric properties and chemical resistance, flexibility, elongation, and impact resistance. Its translucency is better than that of low and medium-density polyethylene, but it has poor mechanical properties for soft injection and extrusion molding plastic mold molding.
HDPE also has good dielectric properties, abrasion resistance, and water tightness. In terms of chemical resistance, HDPE is better than LDPE. it has a high softening temperature, poor cold and hot assembly properties, low mechanical strength, and heat deflection temperature. Therefore, HDPE is suitable for use as an insulating dielectric material for high-frequency circuits.
PE is used for low-density injection molding with a processing temperature range of 160 to 220 degrees Celsius and HDPE with a processing temperature of 180-240 degrees Celsius.
High-pressure polyethylene: more than half is used for film products, followed by pipes, injection-molded products, wire wrapping, etc., Medium and low-pressure polyethylene: injection molded products and hollow products are the main products. UHPPE: UHPPE can be used as engineering plastics due to its excellent overall performance.
